That Elusive Love We Were Meant to Experience

You know, each of us came into this world in a similar way - loved from God/Source as perfect in our own way as who we are with great potential.

While we may instinctively know some of this on some level, it does get chipped away as we make our way through childhood, those feisty adolescent years, they young adult years, and so on and on….Our image of ourselves got sort of chipped away no matter how effective or ineffective our caretakers were in accepting us, how many or few friends we had that embraced us, and how our significant partners reflected our potential.

That is the reality of it. We do the best we can or many of us do. So we are left with this perceived problem that we rarely or never really feel totally accepted or loved. Valentines Day is a great celebration to remember where we start here.

Gary Zukav said, “Unconditional love is of the Soul, instantaneous, universal, not bound.” The love we seek is the love we offer and it starts with our relationship with ourselves, and who we are right now and always has been, just as we were from the start: the unlimited and perfect potential of you.

As we embrace ourselves intimately, we both consciously and unconsciously invite the world to love us for who we are and what we are capable of instead of conditional standards we may have adopted during our “not as aware” years.

Practice being aware of all you are. Love like your God/Source. Be tolerant. Be accepting. Be a loving influence. But first Love Yourself as you were originally loved and love yourself now as you are now loved from above – and be that Loving Source to others.

We have the power and choice to rise above the smaller insecure aspects of our Self. When we make a conscious choice to rise to our potential, we are loved and simultaneously become a loving force.

It’s hard work and it’s something to work on moment to moment, day to day. But I say, let the journey begin. Your Love Awaits and Others Await Your Love.

Buddha said, “You, yourself, as much as anybody else in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.”

You and those in your world deserve it!
